1. How many types of gas are there? Can you briefly introduce the basic composition of various types of gas? Generally, there are three types of gas we commonly use: artificial coal gas, natural gas, and liquefied petroleum gas. In some areas, there are water gas, liquefied gas mixed with air, coke oven gas, etc., but they are relatively rare. Since there is no unified gas source standard in my country, the composition of gas sources in different places is different, resulting in a wide variety of gas sources. Therefore, the design of gas appliances sold to various places must match the local gas source. (1) Artificial coal gas is code-named R. It is a combustible gas obtained from solid fuel or liquid fuel. The main components are hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and methane. It is lighter than air and toxic. It burns quickly and is easy to backfire. The calorific value varies greatly. It is divided into 5R, 6R, and 7R. If the choice is not appropriate, the stove cannot be used. Artificial coal gas is transported to users' homes through urban pipelines. (2) Natural gas is code-named T. It is a combustible gas extracted from the strata adjacent to oil or coal mining areas. The main components are methane, ethane, propane, butane, and pentane. Lighter than air, slightly toxic. Slow burning speed, easy to leave the flame. (3) The code name of liquefied petroleum gas is Y, which is a by-product of the petrochemical industry. Main components: propane, propylene, butane, contains a small amount of pentane, heavier than air. Moderate burning speed, good combustion performance. High calorific value. 2. Is it normal for a gas stove to have a red flame? Why does a red flame appear when the stove is lit? The main reasons for the red flame of a gas stove are as follows: (1) Gas reasons: When there is too much moisture or impurities in the combustion gas, the flame color will appear red. (2) Dust reasons: When there is dust in the house or when the amount of moisture and oil in the air increases when cooking, it is also easy to have a red flame. (3) Air damper reasons: This situation may also occur when the air damper is not adjusted properly. In this case, just adjust the air damper. (4) Pot rack reasons: Because the enamel on the surface of the pot rack turns red when heated at high temperature, due to the special material of enamel, the flame around the pot rack will be red. This is the color of metal ions at high temperature. Therefore, the appearance of red flames during burning does not mean that there is a problem with the stove, but is caused by the above reasons. It will not affect normal use and will not cause harm to human health.
