What is inside the kitchen fire extinguishing system? Is it harmful to the human body?

The kitchen fire extinguishing system is a set of physically driven safety fire extinguishing systems that are mandatory for commercial open flame kitchens. So has anyone ever cared about what kind of fire extinguishing agent is in the fire extinguishing system? Is it harmful to the human body? Due to the complexity of the fire-causing substances in the kitchen, a variety of fire extinguishing agents will be equipped to ensure that the open flame can be effectively extinguished and prevented from re-igniting when facing different fire factors. Dry powder fire extinguishing agent: This is one of the commonly used types of agents in kitchen stove fire extinguishers. It is mainly composed of a mixture of various substances such as ammonium chloride, sodium carbonate and silicate. Dry powder fire extinguishing agent has the characteristics of fine powder, easy solubility in water, non-toxic and harmless. It can quickly suppress the heat and combustion products of the fire source while extinguishing the flame, so as to achieve the purpose of extinguishing the fire. It is suitable for extinguishing fires such as oil, electrical equipment, flammable liquids, gases and precision instruments. Special fire extinguishing agent for edible oil: This is a special fire extinguishing agent commonly used in kitchen automatic fire extinguishing systems (also known as kitchen equipment fire extinguishing devices). It is a specially formulated low pH mixture of water and organic salts, which is specially used to quickly extinguish fires caused by edible oil pans and exhaust hoods. This fire extinguishing agent covers the fire source with foam, isolating the fire source from oxygen, thereby consolidating the fire extinguishing effect. Most of the common kitchen automatic fire extinguishing systems on the market currently use this fire extinguishing agent. Carbon dioxide fire extinguishing agent: This fire extinguishing agent is mainly composed of liquefied carbon dioxide. Its fire extinguishing method is to release carbon dioxide into the air, so that the oxygen molecules in the air are squeezed out, thereby reducing the oxygen concentration required for combustion, forming the effect of extinguishing the flame. Carbon dioxide fire extinguishing agent is suitable for extinguishing electrical fires, precision instrument fires, etc., because it does not leave any residue during the fire extinguishing process and does not cause damage to the equipment. Foam fire extinguishing agent: Foam fire extinguishing agent is usually made of liquid components containing surfactants. When it extinguishes the fire, it will produce a large amount of foam by spraying. These foams can effectively cover the fire source, suppress the heat and combustion products of the fire source, and thus achieve the purpose of extinguishing the fire. Foam fire extinguishing agent is suitable for extinguishing oil, electrical fires and solid material fires. Most of the agents in fire extinguishers are made of environmentally friendly, non-toxic materials, but the corresponding safety operating procedures need to be followed during the installation process. At the same time, it should be noted that the kitchen fire extinguisher is generally valid for about three years. When the service life is reached, it needs to be replaced with a new fire extinguisher in time. In addition, the fire extinguishing system needs to be regularly maintained and inspected to ensure that the entire system can play a role at critical moments.
